Men and women who sat for the Texas bar exam in July are enjoying a special treat this Halloween. The Texas Board of Law Examiners (TBLE) in Austin administers the exam and today posted the names of those who passed the July exam on its site. The agency also provides the pass rate data for each of the nine American Bar Association- accredited law schools in Texas.
Graduates of Baylor University School of Law in Waco take first place among the Texas schools with the highest percent passing rate: 97.52 percent or 118 of 121 of its graduates who took the test for the first time in July, according to the TBLE.
The overall passage rate of Texas grads is 88.74 percent, or 1,561 of 1,759 first-time test-takers. The overall passage rate of Texas law school grads is slightly higher than the 86.49 percent, or 1,524 of 1,762 Texas law school first-time test-takers who passed the exam in July of 2012.
Congratulations to all!
