Gov. Rick Perry today appointed Devon Anderson to succeed her late husband as Harris County district attorney.
Devon Anderson, a former assistant DA and former 177th District judge, will serve for a term that will expire at the next general election, which is in November 2014.
Mike Anderson, who took office on Jan. 1, died on Aug. 31 following a battle with cancer.
