Lawyers of Color named Erik Hsu, an associate with Winstead in Dallas, and Ryan Valdez, a partner in Cantey Hanger in Fort Worth, to the inaugural Southwest Region Hot List, which recognizes early- to mid-career minority attorneys who are excelling in the legal profession.
Before joining Winstead in 2005, he served as a law clerk for then-U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Leif M. Clark of the Western District of Texas in San Antonio, Hsu says. He received his J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law in 2004.
Hsu says he focuses his practice on business restructuring and bankruptcy matters, including insolvency-related litigation.According to the Cantey Hanger website, Valdez joined the firm’s general litigation practice group in 2003 and is a 2002 graduate of Tulane University School of Law.
