Newsmakers: Health-care attorney joins Thompson & Knight

Murphy_Susan_128x175Thompson & Knight announced March 11 that health-care attorney Susan B. Murphy has joined the firm as counsel in the firm’s Houston office.

Murphy (pictured) focuses her practice on health industry operational and transactional issues. She says she joined Thompson & Knight from Porter Hedges in Houston, where she was of counsel.

Murphy, a 1985 graduate of the University of San Diego School of Law, says she began her legal career at the former firm of Wood, Lucksinger & Epstein in Houston before going in-house at Travelers to handle managed-care issues.
