Dallas-based Carrington, Coleman, Sloman & Blumenthal announced Jan. 30 that Monica Latin (pictured), a partner in the firm, has obtained board certification in civil appellate law.
“I have an active trial practice, including injunction work,” Latin says. “I think having an active appellate practice makes sure as a trial lawyer you never forget the details.”
Latin is a 1993 graduate with honors of the University of Texas School of Law, where she was editor-in-chief of The Review of Litigation.
After graduation, she served as a law clerk for then-Texas Supreme Court Justice Lloyd Doggett, now a U.S. congressman, Latin says. She says she joined Carrington, Coleman in 1994.
Latin, head of the firm’s business litigation practice, says, “I really enjoy doing appellate arguments.”
