Elisabeth A. Wilson (pictured), an associate in Winstead’s commercial litigation group in Dallas, has become president-elect of the approximately 280-member Dallas Hispanic Bar Association (DHBA).
“My term started Jan. 1,” Wilson says.
Wilson says that as DHBA’s president-elect, she will serve as an advisory member of the Dallas Bar Association’s board of directors. She will become the DHBA’s president in 2014.
Wilson, a 2007 cum laude graduate of Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law, says she joined Winstead on Sept. 28, 2009, after serving first as a briefing attorney for 5th Court of Appeals Justice Douglas Lang and then as a law clerk for U.S. District Judge Jane Boyle of the Northern District of Texas in Dallas.
She has been active in Dallas bar groups and says she served as a director of the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers from 2009-2012.
