Morgan Lewis & Bockius announced Jan. 2 that Ryan D. McConnell (pictured), a former federal prosecutor, has joined the firm in Houston as a partner in the litigation practice.
McConnell, a 2003 graduate of Washington University School of Law in St. Louis, Mo., says that prior to joining Morgan Lewis he was an attorney at Baker & McKenzie in Houston. Before entering private practice, McConnell says, he was an assistant U.S. attorney in Louisiana and in the Southern District of Texas in Houston.
McConnell says he focuses his practice on white collar criminal defense, corporate compliance issues and internal investigations. He says he also teaches international corporate compliance and criminal procedure at the University of Houston Law Center, where he was named “Faculty Member of the Year” in 2011 by the UH Advocates.
