Earl “Chip” Jones (pictured) became managing shareholder of Littler Mendelson’s Dallas office on Jan. 1.
Jones says he first joined Littler in 1994 after graduating from Southern Methodist University School of Law and remained at the firm until 2002. He says he returned to Littler in 2011 after working several years at Dean Foods Co., where he became senior vice president and chief compliance officer.
A member of Littler’s corporate compliance and ethics groups, Jones says he helps organizations with compliance programs and investigations of employees’ complaints. He says he has an accounting background and formerly worked as an auditor at the accounting firm of Arthur Young.
According to Jones, his job as managing shareholder in Dallas will involve managing the approximately 35 lawyers in that office and making sure the workflow is monitored. He succeeds Jennifer Youpa, who served as the managing shareholder in Dallas for three years and has joined the firm’s management committee.
