King & Spalding has elected Houston-based partners Reginald R. Smith and Philip R. Weems to the firm’s 10-member policy committee.
“We have both been on the policy committee before,” Weems says. “This is our second time.”
He says policy committee members serve three-year terms.
According to Weems, Smith has been with King & Spalding since 1987 and was one of the attorneys who opened the firm’s Houston office in 1995. Smith heads the firm’s global disputes practice, Weems says.
Weems says he joined King & Spalding in 1999 and is co-leader of the firm’s global energy practice.
