Jim Maloney, an experienced securities trial attorney, says Dec. 3 was his first day at Andrews Kurth, where he joined as a partner in the firm’s litigation section.
Maloney says he is a former partner at Baker Botts, where he formerly was chairman of that firm’s securities litigation section and also the former hiring partner. “I was there 37 years,” he says, noting that he joined Baker Botts shortly after graduating from Harvard Law School in 1975.
His move to Andrews Kurth is “a fabulous opportunity,” Maloney says. “I have an opportunity here to continue to try cases for many, many years.”
Maloney says he hopes to help expand Andrews Kurth’s securities and mergers and acquisitions trial practices.
