Effective Dec. 1, Robert C. Wiegand (pictured) assumed his duties as managing shareholder of trial and appellate firm Godwin Lewis and will continue to serve as the firm’s chief operating officer.
“I’m looking forward to assuming my expanded responsibilities, and I think the firm will have a great year,” Wiegand says.
Wiegand, a shareholder in the firm’s Dallas office, says he joined a predecessor firm, Godwin Ronquillo in March 1999 and is a commercial litigator. Godwin Ronquillo became Godwin Lewis on Nov. 19.
Other changes in the firm’s executive committee, according to Wiegand, include the selection of Houston-based shareholder R. Alan York as its president and the naming of Dallas-based shareholders Jenny L. Martinez as the secretary/treasurer and Marilea W. Lewis as executive vice president. Wiegand says that Donald E. Godwin will continue as the firm’s chairman and chief executive officer and Bruce W. Bowman Jr. will remain as the firm’s general counsel.
