The Texas Trial Lawyers Association (TTLA) installed W.
Bradley Parker as its 2013 president and elected Michael Guajardo as
president-elect during its annual board meeting Dec. 7 in Austin.
Parker (pictured), a partner in the Fort Worth firm of Parker McDonald, says, “I am extremely honored and proud to be allowed the opportunity to serve as president of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association.”
According to Parker, TTLA has experienced the largest net membership gain in its history over the past year. Parker says TTLA provides continuing legal education programs specifically targeting its members’ concerns and practices.
Guajardo (pictured), a partner in Dallas’ Guajardo &
Marks, says, “I can’t think of a higher honor professionally than to be chosen
to lead a group of trial lawyers.”
Parker, a 1985 graduate of the Texas Tech University School of Law, says he has been a TTLA member since 1994 and has served on its board since 1998. He says he is board certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in personal injury trial law and has focused his practice exclusively on trial work since becoming licensed in 1985.
Guajardo, a 1992 graduate of the Texas Tech law school, says he joined TTLA in 1996 and has served on the association’s board since 2004. He says he and his partner, Greg Marks, started their firm in August 2011 and specialize in representing people who have suffered a catastrophic injury or wrongful death.
