“We’re talking to people now,” says Monty L. Ross.
Robin Barnes says, “We’re definitely planning to grow, to be able to offer our clients a broader range of services, including litigation services.”
Both partners say their practices focus chiefly on transactional work in intellectual property.
Ross says that he and Barnes opened their firm in September after leaving Locke Lord in Dallas, where both were senior counsels.
“It’s a new opportunity to move on,” Ross says.
Ross, a 1976 graduate of the University of Texas School of Law, says he has been practicing intellectual property law for more than 35 years.
Barnes says she is a 1998 graduate of the University of Houston Law Center.
