Eugene “Gene” R. Egdorf (pictured) of The Lanier Law Firm in Houston has become a fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation.
“I was really humbled and honored to get recognized in that way,” Egdorf says.
Egdorf, a 1991 graduate of the University of Texas School of Law, says he joined W. Mark Lanier’s firm in 1998. He says he currently leads the firm’s commercial litigation, bankruptcy and sports and entertainment practice groups.
While his practice focuses mostly on commercial litigation and bankruptcy cases, he still handles personal injury matters, Egdorg says.
Egdorg says he also is a certified contract advisor with the NFL Players Association and the Canadian Football League. “That’s a long-winded way to say I’m a sports agent for football players,” he says.
