Chris Hanslik (pictured), chairman of BoyarMiller in Houston, has joined the Meineke Car Care Bowl of Texas board of directors.
Hanslik says the bowl game, formerly known as the Texas Bowl, is a post-season, National Collegiate Athletic Association-sponsored college football game.
“It’s a great event in Houston that supports a charity called DePelchin [Children’s Center],” Hanslik says. He says the bowl game has raised about half a million dollars for the charity, a provider of children’s mental health and child welfare services.
Hanslik says he joined the bowl game’s board of directors in October. Serving on the board is an opportunity to be involved in trying to grow awareness of the bowl game in Houston and across the nation, he says.
Hanslik, a 1995 graduate of South Texas College of Law, says he joined BoyarMiller in 2004. He is a commercial and business litigator and leads the firm’s litigation group.
