Houston-based Andrews Myers announced Dec. 19 the promotion of senior counsel Anthony G. “Tony” Stergio to shareholder and the addition of Josh Harrison as an associate in the firm.
Stergio (pictured), who will become a shareholder on Jan. 1, 2013, says he joined Andrews Myers in March 2010 from Johnson DeLuca Kurisky & Gould in Houston. He says he earned his J.D. in 1990 from the University of Kansas School of Law, where he was on the editorial board for the Kansas Law Review.
Stergio says he is board certified in labor and employment law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. His practice includes defending clients again employment discrimination and wage and hour claims as well as drafting and enforcing noncompetition agreements and representing companies that have been issued citations by the federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
Harrison (pictured), a 2012 graduate of the University of Houston Law Center, says he joined Andrews Myers in October.
“I’m really excited about it,” Harrison says. “I really like the firm so far.”
Harrison says his practice focuses on commercial real estate, corporate and commercial transactions.
