Wick Phillips announced that Christopher Baker (pictured) has joined the firm’s Dallas office as an associate in the corporate and finance practice group.
Baker, who says he joined Wick Phillips on Nov. 7, graduated magna cum laude from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University in May.
Baker, a native of Manchester, England, says he was about 9 years old when he moved with his family to the United States. Baker says he has lived in this country long enough to no longer have a British accent.
The law is Baker’s second career. He says he worked as a logistics services sales representative for C.H. Robinson Worldwide Inc. from 2005-2007 and worked in construction materials sales at KT-PC of Arizona from 2007-2008.
Baker says that while in law school, he spent a year as a research fellow for the North American Center for Transborder Studies. He says he also was involved in an algae biofuels and carbon capture research project for Intel Corp.
