Two attorneys at Quaid & Quaid in Dallas have assumed their duties on boards of directors for various organizations.
Julie Quaid, a partner in the firm, says the Texas Loves Children board named her a board member for the nonprofit organization in September, and she began her service in the same month.
Quaid says Texas Loves Children works to improve case outcomes for abused and neglected children by training lawyers and judges to recognize the signs of abuse or neglect.
Quaid & Quaid associate Christopher M. Farish says that on Nov. 6, he attended his first meeting as a board member for the Legacy Family Court Foundation, a nonprofit corporation founded to raise funds for the Legacy Family Drug Court in Dallas. Farish says the court tries to help individuals facing termination of their parental rights because of drug use to successfully rehabilitate themselves so they can be reunited with their children.
Farish says his other recent appointments are to the boards of the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals, Collin County Bar Association and the Family Law Section of the Dallas Bar Association.
