R. Brent Clifton (pictured) says he spent last week getting accustomed to a new office and new computers after joining Winstead’s Dallas office as a shareholder on Nov. 1.
Clifton, a 1982 graduate of Southern Methodist University School of Law, moved from Locke Lord in Dallas, where he was a partner. He says he began his legal career at Groce Locke & Hebdon in San Antonio.
At Winstead, Clifton is a member of the taxation, employee benefits and private business practice group. Clifton says his practice focuses on real estate-related transactions, including real estate partnerships and joint ventures.
Clifton says it was a good move for him to join Winstead. “Winstead’s got a great reputation,” he says. “They’ve got a superb real estate practice.”
