On Nov. 1, U.S. District Judge Gregg Costa of the Southern District of Texas issued a memorandum opinion and order in an antitrust case, denying a Texas beef producer’s motion to intervene.
In the opinion, Costa rustles up a number of cattle-related phrases, from “culling of the herd” to “join the rodeo.” He also notes that the defendants have “momentarily ceased stamping their hooves at each other. . . .” Happy trails.
