To commemorate what she calls her second 60th birthday, Dallas litigator and jury consultant Lisa Blue is throwing a party featuring the cast of the TV show “Dallas” -- including Larry Hagman, who plays J.R. Ewing, and Patrick Duffy, who plays Bobby Ewing. The band Asleep at the Wheel will provide the musical entertainment at the party.
The Oct. 12 fete at her Preston Hollow home will raise money for the newly established Larry Hagman Foundation, with guests asked to make donations starting at $350 per person. The mission of Hagman’s foundation is providing money for educational programs that promote the fine arts and creative learning for economically disadvantaged Dallas children.
Blue writes in an email that Hagman wanted to do something to give back to Dallas, “the town/show that made him so famous,” and he asked her to help him. She says she agreed as long as the focus of Hagman’s foundation matched that of the foundation she established with her late husband, Dallas plaintiffs lawyer Fred Baron: addressing the needs of the impoverished in the local area.
