An Austin lawyer has nonsuited her claim against her former employer, which she had alleged “terminated” her for trying to implement policies to comply with laws on distributing home-baked goods and on health-care privacy and confidentiality.
In a March 13 answer, Cancer Connection had denied all of Erin M. Gilmer's (pictured) allegations and claimed Gilmer failed to allege facts to support her causes of action.
Gilmer declines comment on the reasons for her nonsuit. But she says she’s considering refiling her claims against Austin-based Cancer Connection, which organizes volunteers to support cancer patients in oncology centers and hospitals.
She nonsuited without prejudice to refiling on July 30, according to a Plaintiff’s Nonsuit of Cancer Connection in Gilmer v. Cancer Connection.
Cancer Connection’s lawyer, Manuel Quinto-Pozos of Deats, Durst, Owen & Levy in Austin, declines comment.
