Austin firm Clark, Thomas & Winters has lost another large group of attorneys. A group of 29 left Clark, Thomas to form a new firm in Austin, Duggins Wren Mann & Romero. The firm opened its doors today, says David Gilliland, Duggins Wren’s managing partner. “We are looking forward to the opportunities to serve our clients together in a new venture,” Gilliland says. He declines to discuss why the group left Clark, Thomas, which lost a group of lawyers earlier this year to open an Austin office for Minneapolis litigation firm Bowman and Brooke. Meade Bauer, Clark, Thomas’ president, did not immediately return a telephone message seeking comment. Gilliland declines to identify clients of his new firm but says they represent clients in the electric energy industry and the gas utility industry. He says areas of practice include energy, energy regulatory, environmental and litigation. The senior partners in the firm are David Duggins, Casey Wren, James Mann and Celina Romero. Here’s the entire list provided by the firm: Adrian Ciechanowicz, Anish Michael, Bill Coe, Bill Johnson, Brett Slocum, Casey Wren, Celina Romero, Chauncey Lane, David Duggins, David Gilliland, Don Lewis, Emily Anguamea, Evan Johnson, Everett Britt, George Hoyt, James Mann, Jamie McNally, Jay Breedveld, Joe Cain, John Williams, Kerry McGrath, Mark Held, Mark Strain, Marnie McCormick, Patrick Pearsall, Scott Olson, Shan Rutherford, Veronica Czuchna and Will Guerrant.
